Pleavin Petroleum | 24/7 Emergency Fuel Services

Oil drums are primarily used for transportation purposes, allowing fuels, oils and chemicals to be safely taken from one place to another. It’s important to maintain safety when it comes to transporting hazardous goods, which is why oil drums are primarily used.

For both transportation and safety purposes, oil drums are best to use. We know first-hand how much convenience matters in the workplace, especially if you’re working tirelessly in an industrial setting. Oil drums can be stacked together and handled with ease thanks to their simplistic design.

Pleavin Petroleum works around the clock to deliver quality fuels and lubricants to businesses residing in the UK. Our expert services and extensive wealth of experience in the fuel industry mean we’re the go-to choice for efficient fuel delivery. We use oil drums to transport products to our customers.

What Are Oil Drums?

What are Oil Drums? Oil drums are large cylindrical barrels that are designed to hold quantities of liquid-based materials. Typically, oil drums are made from stainless steel or carbon steel and can often hold up to 210 litres at a time. Oil drums offer optimal performance and the construction of each drum allows goods to be delivered safely without leaks or spillage.

Our steel oil drums are coated with a phenolic coating, which helps provide chemical protection between the drum itself and the goods placed inside – whether it be oils, chemicals or fuel. Phenolic is mixed with epoxy to prevent the drum from breaking if damage occurs.

Our oil drums are designed to be an efficient, portable storage solution. Our oil drums come in an array of different sizes, ideally suited to how many litres of product you need to accommodate. A range of our fuels and oils can be stored in oil drums – including white diesel, HVO fuel, kerosene and lubricants to name a few.

Commonly known as a barrel, oil drums are stackable, with dimensions that offer efficient storage benefits. In terms of warehouse use, oil drums are easy to operate and can be stored neatly. We aim to maintain safety standards whilst delivering fuel and lubricants. Our products are delivered quickly to our customer base.

Why Use Oil Drums?

Oil drums are versatile, offering a wide range of potential uses. Not only are oil drums crafted with reliable, robust material to keep your goods safe, but they require little upkeep and can withstand damage such as large blows or impact during impact.

In terms of being environmentally friendly, oil drums can be reused multiple times. Although it’s unsafe to have fuel or oil in oil drums that you’re later going to use to store other goods, they’re easy to clean out and can be easily repurposed.

Compared to many other traditional storage methods, oil drums have proven to be the most efficient for transport purposes. We want to provide convenience to our customers, which is why we deliver our oil and lubricant products in oil drums. Oil drums can be moved freely in an industrial setting using forklifts and other lifting machinery, which is ideal when you have multiple barrels to move at once.

With convenience heavily on our minds when it comes to delivering goods to loyal customers, we also want to maintain optimal safety during the delivery of the products we deal with – such as diesel, petroleum and lubricants. We can provide 205-litre oil barrels containing the product you need in real-time, 24 hours a day.
